The past two weeks, I’ve been making a bunch of friendship bracelets for myself and for other people. I used to make them back in the 80s when it was trendy but the only pattern I knew how to make was the standard diagonal stripes. Thanks to Google, I was able to find patterns for a bunch of different designs and it took off from there. I learned the heart and the diamond pattern from The Purlbee. The daisy chain (which I’ve converted into sunflowers) was from Beyond Bracelets on Youtube. That was the easiest to do; I learned it last night and made two (Didn’t photog the other other; it was purple with alternating pink and mint green daisies). I really want to learn the really difficult styles but I don’t for the life of me understand how to read the knotting patterns with all the arrows and stuff. I think that’s the reason why I never took up knitting yet. I see knitting patterns and my face is like o_O !
But it is on my bucket list of skill sets along with learning how to use a sewing machine, blacksmithing and sharp shooting.
